CARR, Meghan Leigh, age 21, of Burton, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015. Funeral Services will be 12:00PM Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc. Chaplain Hank Messing officiating. Visitation will be 1:00PM-8:00PM Friday and 11:00AM Saturday until time of service at the funeral home.
Meghan was born February 1, 1994 in Flint the daughter of William Nelson and Karen Lee (Burgtorf) Carr. She was a 2012 graduate of Carman-Ainsworth High School and attended University of Michigan, Flint. Meghan enjoyed poetry, writing and reading, especially the Golden Compass Series. She loved all animals, and would have had a zoo at home, if possible. Meghan had recently been in Yellowstone National Park, where she had found a passion for backpacking and hiking. She was a creative soul, hand making holiday cards for friends and family which will now be cherished dearly. She is loved beyond measure, and will rest in the hearts of many, forever.
Surviving are her parents, Bill and Karen Carr of Burton; two brothers, Jon W. Carr (Annie Linn) of Los Angeles, Christopher J. Carr of Burton; grandfather, Nelson W. Carr of Lachine, MI; uncle, Robert D. Carr (DeLynn) of Ossineke, MI; aunts, Cheryl Christensen (Arnold) of Alpena, MI, Barb Gould (Dan) of Flint; Kathy Burgtorf of Flint; many cousins and loving friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert Earl Burgtorf, Margaret Burgtorf, Mary Carr and Norma Carr.
