DOW, Merle L. – of Burton, age 88, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at home. Funeral services will be held Monday 1 PM at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Road. Pastor Bob Taylor officiating. Visitation Saturday and Sunday 5-8 PM. Merle was a member for over 50 years of Court Street Methodist Church, most recently attending St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Davison. She is retired from AC where she worked for 35 years. Also, she volunteered at Genesys Hospital and Whaley House. During wartime she was a ‘Rosie the Riveter.’ Dear mother of Cheryl (Ron) Spencer, Diane (Jim) Hale and Nancy (Bruce) Witherbee. Loving grandmother of Angela (Adrian) Wright, Kira (Bryan) Kroger and great grandmother of Austin, Ahmari and Ashton. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Lyman W. Dow; parents, James and Leona Clark and brother James Clark. Contributions can be addressed to Genesys Hospice.
