Mildred Agness Jones – Age 89, of Montrose died, Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Jones was born March 10, 1923 in Paragould, Arkansas the daughter of Claude and Katie (Qualls) Tarrence. She married James Robert Jones of Clayton, N. Carolina on February 5, 1945 in San Francisco and he preceded her in death. Mildred worked at General Motors Turnstead retiring in 1982. She loved crocheting, sewing, gardening and dancing. Mildred was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother who was a very spiritual loving person who was a strong influence to her family and friends. Surviving are her children, John Jones of Flint, Elton Jones of Burton, Ronald (Patricia) Jones of Peoria, Ill, Donald Jones of Burton, Deborah Partridge of Montrose and Darnell Comer also of Montrose; 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, sisters, Katherine Johnston of Owosso, Betty Pennabaker of Lakeland, Florida, Jean Johnson of Holland, brothers, Rubert Tarrence of Lake Placid, Florida, Delbert Tarrence of Flint. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband James Jones, father and mother, Claude and Katie Tarrence, daughter, Delories Myjak, brothers, Ruben Tarrence, Thomas Tarrence and James Tarrence.
