Rip To my grandmother (she would hate to hear me call her that), But rip Mildred.

This news saddens me and breaks my heart My heartfelt condolences to the family Mildred always treated me as a family member no matter what was going on She was so loving and always offered me advice when I needed it Even though it has been years since I've seen her or even talked to her the impact she had on me and the memories I have of her will always be treasured Her zesr for life and kind spirit will be missed My prayers are for the family at this time of sorrow and much love is being sent to all of you! ❤️

We weren’t always close but I am so thankful I got to know you and if it wasn’t for you my mom always told me I only know the family members I do today because of you. Your spirit, energy , light and family oriented self won’t ever be forgotten. May we meet again in our final resting place.

I am so sorry to hear of Mildred’s passing. She has always been like family. Our families were very close. This really saddens me.  The family is in my thoughts and prayer

So sorry to hear about the family’s passing. But they are not the only ones who have. Because the community and world has also lost such a beautiful soul as well. 

Ms. Rogers was always nice, God-fearing, and a blessing to our community. She treated us like family and blessed us with her family who treated us like family.  Her lifestyle constantly reminded our community that no matter what the odds are, our circumstances were all the more reason to trust in God. Her very existence demonstrated encouragement to all of us. And so many girls and women were empowered  by her must-do and can-do attitude and energy. This is why we also suffer her loss and not just for her family. 

One thing’s for sure. We know that Ms. Rogers “understood the assignment”. We know that she has passed on to a better place and will be welcomed, comforted, and reunited with those she lost and had been missing for so long. And we know that there will be many to greet and thank her for a job well done. 

So, while we mourn her absence, let it be motivation during our times of sadness and doubt to trust in God and do all we can to live out His purpose for our lives. And let it remind us that mourning, missing, and memorializing her is like a compliment. Because it shows just how much she meant to us, how much she blessed us, and how much she is missed. 

The Thompson, Stubbs, Forbes, Armour, Jones, Gilbert, McMullen, Smalls,  Smith, Williams, Howell, and Galloway family are  here for you. And we will comfort, encouragement, and remind you with memories of just how much Ms. Rogers and your family meant to us.
