Monica Franklin, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019. She was born on January 9th 1923 in Reese, Michigan to parents Frank and Bertha (LaFleur) Parrent. Monica graduate from Fair Grove High School in 1941. She was a Key punch operator for Western Union during the war until she met her husband. Her hobbies consisted of needle point, sewing, photography and gardening. She was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Frankenmuth. Monica is survived by her four children: Marlene Franklin of Fremont, MI, Leonard “Nick” (Linda) Franklin, Jr. of White Cloud, MI, J. Rod Franklin of Hamburg, Germany, and Pamela Franklin of Indianapolis, IN; two granddaughters: Leili (Scott) Russo of White Cloud, MI, and Lisa (Aaron) Boettcher of Port St Lucie, FL; four great grandchildren: Dagan and Benat Russo, Lillian and Alexander Boettcher; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
