Norma Lee Burrow

NORMA LEE BURROW, age 83, of Grand Blanc, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at The Oaks of Woodfield. A Memorial Service and celebration of Norma’s Life will be held at the First Congregational Church, 6494 S. Belsay Road, Grand Blanc, MI., Pastor Rodger Good officiating on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 11:00AM with a luncheon following after the service at the church. Inurnment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. Norma was born April 26, 1934 in Flint, Michigan; the daughter of Elsworth and Mildred (Smith) Allen. She lived in Grand Blanc her entire life, attended Grand Blanc High School and married Deloy A. Burrow on August 22, 1953. Norma was an active member of the community and a long-standing member since 1946 at the First Congregational Church in Grand Blanc. She was also involved in American Legion Auxiliary, where she served as President for some time. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey A. (Molly) Burrow of Northville, MI; daughter, Jennifer L. Burrow of Grand Blanc, MI; granddaughters Peri and Samantha; brother, James Allen of Grand Blanc, MI as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Deloy A. Burrow, her mother Mildred Allen, her father Elsworth (Al) Allen, her stepmother Eileen Allen, her brother Chuck Allen, her brother Larry Allen, her daughter, Jane and her granddaughter, Gracie Jane. The family would like to express our sincere thanks to all the caregivers that truly helped Norma and our family especially over the past several months, we are eternally grateful for your dedication, care and commitment. We would also like to thank all the friends who visited and supported Norma during her stay at the Oaks, which was something Norma cherished, especially over the past year. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church of Grand Blanc.
