

HAWKINS, Pansy Christine – of Flint, age 76, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2012 at McLaren – Flint. Pansy was born June 21, 1936 in Bay, Arkansas the daughter of the late Donald and Mabel Lindsey. She was a crusader and avid fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (M.D.A.). She loved her family and cared so much for people. Surviving are children, Deborah L. Hawkins, Linda (Tom) Sharon, Lorri (Jim) O’Dea; five grandsons, Jason (Katrina) Sharon, Brian Sharon, Eric Sharon, James D.J. O’Dea, Colin O’Dea; sisters, Louise (Tom) Hintz, Bobbie (Pete) Gianfrancesco, Donna Jean (Carl) Edburg, and many nieces and nephews. Pansy was preceded in death by her beloved son John Thomas Hawkins; brothers James and Charles Lindsey; sister Carol Mae Niemesz and former husband Edward Hawkins. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2012 at the Brown Funeral Home 1480 East Hill Road, Grand Blanc with Fr. Jonathan Perrotta officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. Friday until the time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to M.D.A. or Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation.
