Paul Edward Alexander, age 79 of Burton, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, February 12, 2019. He was born on June 6, 1939 to parents Roy and Velma (Church) Alexander. Paul retired from Buick City in 1995. He was a faithful member of Shawn Baptist Church. He was a loyal fan of the Detroit Tigers, Red Wings, and Lions. Paul enjoyed southern gospel music and loved attending gospel concerts. His favorite song was “Telluride” which was written by his grandson Brian. He loved camping with his family. Paul was always filled with laughter and it was contagious; he could really make a room roar! His grandson Joel designed a fedora which was named after him; “The Paul Edward,” which was inspired by the Westerns they watched together when Joel was a child. Paul is survived by his wife of 57 years, Constance; children: Debbie (Jim) Fras, Steve Alexander, Jeff (Ronā) Alexander; grandchildren: James (Ginger), Joel (Ashten), Brian (Brittany), Danny, Bekah, Kristine (Justin) Aundrae; great grandchildren: Harley and Scarlett; siblings: James (Lois) Alexander and Sharon (Harry) Snyder; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents; daughter-in-law, Lorraine Alexander. A funeral service will take place at 1pm on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Shawn Baptist Church, 2493 N. Genesee Rd., Burton. Daniel Cocke officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 15, 2019 from 1-7pm at Shawn Baptist Church. Interment at Flint Memorial Park.
