Peter Emery

Peter Emery, age 69, passed away on February 28, 2024 in Grand Blanc, Michigan. He was the son of George L. Emery and Lieselotte (Sauer), born in Frankfurt AM/Main, Germany on February 21st, 1955. Peter attended Waterford Kettering High School and later graduated from the University of Maryland.

Peter joined the United States Army, acquiring the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was a Paratrooper and a Army Ranger, before being assigned to the 10th Special Forces Green Beret at Fort Carson, Colorado, until his retirement. During his service, Peter parachuted into Iraq in Operation Desert Storm and again in Afghanistan. He received many medals during his career, including one from the Kuwaiti Government, another from the Germany Army and several bronze stars. After Peter retired, he owned and operated his own company, Web Grafix, in Colorado Spring, Colorado.

By faith, Peter had accepted Christ as his personal savior and we look forward to reuniting with him someday. Peter is survived by his Father, sister Lisa S. Smith and husband Mical, Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and many friends.

A funeral service for Peter will occur Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 1:00 PM with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan. An interment with military honors will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd, Holly, Michigan.
