Philip R. Jackson, age 84, of Grand Blanc, Michigan passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021. Philip was born July 3, 1937 in Greenfield, Indiana to the late Robert and Irene Jackson. On April 25, 1959 in Wurzburg, Germany, Philip married the love of his life Lee Kanzler. He served his country in the United States Army from 1957-59. Philip enjoyed outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing and golfing. He was an avid basketball fan; High School, College or professional he enjoyed every minute. Philip was a member of the Flint and Grand Blanc Chamber of Commerce and Grand Blanc United Methodist Church. He worked for IBM in Akron, Ohio in 1964 as Market Manager, Cleveland, Ohio in 1970-72 as Program Manager and Flint, Michigan from 1972-80. He worked for Prime Computer and Computer Sciences until 2001 and was the Executive Director at SME beginning in 2004. Philip was a wonderful man and will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife, Lee Jackson; children: Philip E. (Melissa) Jackson and Leah (Tony) Cherry; grandchildren: Ryan (Jennifer) Jackson, Paige (Tommy) Christensen, Reece Cherry, Bryce Cherry, Alexandria Caldwell, Abigail Caldwell; great grandchildren: Rosalie Christensen, Jackson Christensen; and brother, Robert (Mary) Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 1pm with one hour of visitation prior to the service at Hill Funeral Home - 11723 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan.
