Philip Joseph Olson II

Olson, II, Philip Joseph, 76, died December 12, 2025. He is survived by his wife, Laura (Pascoe), and children, Mary Kathleen Beardsley, Samuel (Jenalyn), Thomas (Andrea Aguilar), and Joseph; beloved grandchildren, Jonah and Stella Beardsley, Kal Lawrence, and Arthur and Francis Olson; siblings, Charles (Theresa), Karen (Timothy), and James.

Phil graduated from the University of Notre Dame and University of Detroit College of Law. He practiced law for many years, primarily in Flint and Genesee County. Phil was devoted to his family, as they were to him. He loved Mackinac Island - it was his happy place. Phil loved sports, particularly basketball and softball. He spent many happy years playing both sports with his friends and colleagues from the legal community.

Visitation will be at Hill Funeral Home on Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 2:00pm to 7:00pm. Family visitation will be from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at the Church of the Holy Family on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 10:00am. Family visitation at the church will be from 9:00am to 10:00am. Burial will follow at Perry-McFarlen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to Grand Blanc Parks & Recreation Department, McFarlen Library, or to the City of Grand Blanc to be designated to be used for improvements in and to the Grand Blanc Community Commons.
