Sorry to hear about your father. Ray you were one in a million. Tom enjoyed visiting with you while working on your pickup. You will be truely missed. Going to miss hearing you on the phone chating and catching up. So glad we got to chat not to long ago.

I haven't been back to visit in quite a few years and I'm embarrassed about that, but I have nothing but good memories about having Uncle Ray in my life.  Fishing, sitting in the chairs in the front of Grandpa's garage, our vacation to Canada and Ray waking up with a very flat air mattress and a very sore back... all good memories.  Ray and I spent a lot of time talking in those garage chairs.  Unlike most adults he really listened to teenagers, that is when I could get him to stop talking.  Not really.  I loved listening to him and the stories he would tell.  I was trying to remember this morning the last time I saw Ray really angry and you know after fifty-some years I came to the conclusion that I've never seen him angry at anyone.  Bluegills or bass, maybe, but not people.  He was one of the warmest individuals I've ever met.  As a kid you can't really appreciate it, but as an adult I've come to realize just what an amazing parent Ray was and I know first-hand he was proud of all his kids.  My thoughts and prayers go out to Bruce, Linda, Katha, Mike, and Dave.  Your Dad will truly be missed.

I wish I could travel back in time & become closer to all of my family. Listening to my grandparents childhood stories as to how the good ole days were to how they raised the trusting, kind souls known as our Parents, Aunts and Uncles. When youre a kid you dont think of these things as important. Were too busy making plans, football games, our social life, Mtv. Then we think we'll always have tmrw. As an adult we now know it is what made us the adult we are today, our roots. I will forever miss my grandparents & miss not getting to know them as deeply as I wish I would have.
