Robert W. Allen Sr., 95, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 8, 2020 at his home in Grand Blanc, MI. He was born in Ashtabula, OH and was one of six children. Robert (Bob) was an active member of Holy Redeemer Church serving as an usher for many years and active in the Knights of Columbus. He enlisted in the Navy at the age of 18 and served during WWII and the Korean War from 1943-1952. He attended the Navy School of Princeton University and was commissioned as an Ensign. He was a proud patriot and veteran. After the war, he started his career in Engineering at Owen Illinois Glass in Toledo, OH. He was instrumental in redesigning the gallon round glass milk jug to be square for better fit in the refrigerator. After leaving Owen Glass he furthered his career at Sheller Globe in Union City, IN from 1966-1972. From there, Bob moved to Grand Blanc, MI and became the VP of Sales and Engineering at Flint Manufacturing until retirement in 1996. He was an active bowler while living in Toledo and then became a very active golfer. Bob was a member of Warwick Hills Golf and Country Club and a past President of the Club. He even achieved a hole-in-one at the very difficult course where the Buick Open was played. When he wasn't golfing, he was very competitive playing cards with family and friends. Carol, Karen, Andree, & Beau,

Your dad was a good man and father. I don't know who enjoyed the many, many, many football and basketball pools the most-him or me. If I could send them to him in heaven I would. Know that he'll always be looking down on all of you. Keep his memories alive.
