Bob built a life marked by steady work, practical skill, and an enduring willingness to lend a hand. He worked for Chase Bank as a repo guy, a job that provided many interesting stories and reflected his ability to meet people where they were, with a calm presence and a capable approach. He later started his bump and paint business, which eventually turned into a sound company. JR Sound Company was proof that Bob could do anything. He built his business from the ground up, and conducted business on a foundation of fairness and hard work. This was an evolution that spoke to both his resourcefulness and the way his talents naturally expanded into new directions.
On October 31, 1981, Bob married the love of his life, Regina Krzyzewski. Together, they shared 45 wonderful years of marriage, and 53 years together in total; years shaped by devotion, partnership, and the everyday faithfulness.
Bob’s hands and mind were rarely still. He loved bumping and painting cars, building sound systems, playing guitar, writing music, playing card games on his computer, and repairing pocket watches. Mechanical-minded and curious about how things worked; he was almost always fixing something, bringing patience and know-how to whatever was in front of him. Music remained a constant thread throughout his life, including his time in bands such as Harlo and Rocking Chair.
A Doberman lover through and through, Bob shared his life with six Dobermans over the years: Stana, Ralph, Norton, Angus, Mars, and Oscar.
Bob was a friend to all, remembered for his many talents and his famously bad jokes. Those who knew him carry forward not only his skills and interests, but also the laughter he brought so easily—his memory living on through many funny stories, and, of course, more bad jokes.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Regina; children April Parillo and John Jacobson; and grandchildren Ben Parillo, Jake Parillo, and Andrew Parillo.
