She was born in Marquette, Michigan to the late Clare and Esther (Altonen) Richey. In High School, she was a majorette, and her band had the privilege to march in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. Roberta loved crocheting, and camping. She was an avid reader as well. Roberta enjoyed spending time with her sons, and grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and her family was her pride and joy. Roberta will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all who had the privilege to know her.
Roberta leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving sons: Bruce (Tracy) Rose, Steve (Kay) Rose, Kevin (Retta) Rose, Christopher Rose and Joseph (Arren) Rose; eleven cherished grandchildren; six precious great grandchildren; dear sisters, Helen (Terry) Shook and Kathy (Paul) Sharp.
Roberta is preceded in death by her loving husband of forty years, Keith; her parents and her brother, Clare Richey, Jr.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2022, from 4pm to 8pm at Brown Funeral Home - 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, MI. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022, at 12pm, with a visitation prior beginning at 9am at Brown Funeral Home. Following the service, interment will be at Flint Memorial Park in Mount Morris, MI.
