Ruby Mae Bloss Mcleod

McLEOD, Ruby M. – Age 89, went to be with her Lord Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Fostrian Court Assisted Living. Mrs. McLeod was born April 27, 1922 in Flint the daughter of Clarence and Vera (Fuller) Bloss. She was a long time member of Mt. Morris United Brethren in Christ. For many years Ruby worked as a floral designer for Log Cabin and Howell Florists. On October 4, 1941 Ruby Bloss married Charles H. McLeod and he preceded her in death December 8, 2006. Ruby loved sewing and quilting. With her husband Charles they taught square dancing and round dancing. Surviving are her daughters, Cheryl Christoff and husband James Rau, Carol and husband Donald Torline; grandchildren, Keith Rau of San Diego, Kelly Rau and Renee Lawrence, Matthew and wife Amber Torline, Shelley and husband Daniel Schmidt; great grandchildren, Katie June Donnelly, Frances Ireland Donnelly, Matelyn, Olivia and Ruby Torline, Ellen and Sean Schmidt; sisters, Betty Clark and Goldie Saultman. Mrs. McLeod was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Carol, Myrtle, Audrey, Wayne and Donald. Friends may visit the family from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mt. Morris United Brethren in Christ, 2232 E. Mt. Morris Rd., Mt. Morris, MI 48458. The Funeral Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at the church. Pastor David Burkett and Mr. Erv Saultman will co-officiate. As were her wishes cremation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the church.
