Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at the Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St.,
Grand Blanc, MI. Pastor Paul Amstutz officiating. Interment at Birch Run
Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from Noon to 8:00 P.M. Ruth was
born June 2, 1919 in Glenwood, MN. to parents George and Clara
(Anderson) Fickes. She had been an active member in the Grand Blanc
Young At Hearts and was active in her children's school activities.
Surviving are children Kenneth (Casandra) Sedlow of Flint township,
Douglas (Carol) Sedlow of Sun City, AZ, Joanne (James) Cook of Clio, MI,
Barbara Cook of Mt. Morris, MI.; several grandchildren; many great-
grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her
parents; husband Fredrick R. Sedlow; sister Lettie Perrin; son Clyde
Hartshorn Jr.; brother Roy Fickes. Contributions may be made to the
American Cancer Society.
