SHOEMAKER, Samuel – Age 53, died Monday, July 22, 2013 at Bentley manor. Sam was born February 22, 1960 in Flint the son of Floyd and Violet Shoemaker. He was an avid boxer with Golden Gloves. Surviving are his sister, Connie (Richard) Meier; brothers, Tony Shoemaker and Nicholas Shoemaker; many nieces and nephews. Samuel was preceded in death by his parents, step-father, Edwin F. Rabdeau and his sister Penny Lee. A Memorial Service will be held 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Brown Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Dr. Richard Meier will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Flint Mental Health or Hometown Home and Health Hospice.
