
loved ones. He wasn't ready to go yet - had too much to do. He wanted to
teach his grandchildren and great grandchildren how to survive in this world
and to be better people so the world would be a better place to live. Morrie
was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 26, 1926. He had the best of
parents, Dorothy and David Yucht. He was in the Navy in World War II
from 1944 to 1946. He married Bertha Sills in 1947. He was called to
active duty again in 1950-1951 for the Korean War. He owned Model
Cleaners, Sills Cleaners, Consolidated Cleaners and D&R Cleaners. He had
the best children a man could ask for and considered his sons-in-laws and
daughter-in-laws as his own children. Surviving children Linda (Young)
and Paul Landesman, Michael & Aileen Leavitt, Nancy and Alan Charlson,
Pamela (Young) Holmes, Robert and Bea Grossman, Sheri Young and
David Greenwald; grandchildren Brian and Nancy Bernatsky, Julie and
Jason Frederick, Erin Grossman, Ryan Grossman, Daniel Greenwald, Brian
Holmes, Jason Holmes, Andrew Landesman; great grandchildren Justin,
Allie and Hannah Frederick; siblings Robert and Linda Young, Temmie and
Donald Velick; brother in law and sister in law Bruce and Nadine Foote;
several nieces and nephews. Morrie was preceded in death by his parents,
wives Bertha Sills and Ethel Leavitt; daughter Temmie Grossman; grandson
Seth Charlson, and great grandson Brent Frederick. He had great family and
friends. What more could a man ask for? In lieu of flowers, please make

held 5:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at the Machpelah Cemetery.
