OBITUARY

Sandra Hall

May 23, 1952April 3, 2021

Sandra “Sandy” Marie Hall, age 68, passed away suddenly on April 3, 2021 in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Sandy desired to be remembered in celebration and laughter. Staying true with her light hearted nature, the family is planning a Celebration of Life for later this summer.

Sandy was born on May 23, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan to Raymond and Geraldine (Noonan) Happley. She graduated in 1970 from Bishop Borgess High School in Detroit. She went on to join GM in their mail room and worked her way up to a career as a Data Security Analyst under EDS. Sandy was recently retired after 40+ years and was embracing her new found free time. She spent most of her time enjoying the magic of being a grandma and was greatly anticipating the arrival of her 2 newest grandbabies. Following in her mother's footsteps, Sandy was known as quite the baker as she loved to bake treats for family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, swimming, bird watching, and spending time with those she loved. She was a bright soul who found joy in helping others.

Sandy is survived by her daughters, Lindsay (Jason) Moore and Jessica (Michael Little) Hall; her 2 grandchildren Mackenzie and Milo; her brother John (Marilou) Happley, her brother Bob (Denise) Happley, sister Sue (Mark) Grinnell, and their respective children and grandchildren.

Know you are loved always and will be tremendously missed. You will be kept alive in our hearts and memories as the days go on.

Loving mother and grandmother who had the admirable parental style of holding tight and letting go,
Brave heart that always seemed to navigate the world with ease and commitment,
Compassionate and supportive friend who loved laughter, beauty, intelligence, and grace,
Creative energy that went beyond the obvious and that embraced the unknown,
I will miss you, Sandy, and know you are looking down from your spot in heaven – I am forever touched for knowing you.

SANDY, YOU WERE A BIG PART OF MY LIFE AND YEARS AT CHEVROLET ACCOUNTING CENTER, DURING THE 70'S & 80'S, PLAYING SOFTBALL, GOING TO ROSELAND, BOWLING, AND GOING TO PARTIES. SHE ALWAYS HAD A SMILE ON HER FACE AND KIND WORDS. I WILL MISS YOU FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE, BUT I DO HAVE GREAT MEMORIES. LINDSAY AND JESS WAS HER GREAT PRIDE AND JOY, PLUS THE GRAND CHILDREN. KISSES AND HUGS,

Sandy was a lot of fun. Our group of women reconnected several years ago and had lunch often and took some great trips! Sandy and I went through 12 years of school together but spent more time together in the last several years. Lots of memories that make me smile. God speed Sandy, not goodbye but, see you later. XO

Sandy and I grew up together. Grade school at St. Suzanne in Detroit, high school at Bishop Burgess. She bowled on my mom and dads bowling league (crown lanes). Sandy was special. Always happy and smiling. She will be missed by many. May she rest in eternal peace.

I have known Sandy since early 1970s! We used to vacation together, bowl together, New Years together, party together, she was a big part of my life during my 20 & 30s. She will be missed by me & my family & our many friends we had together growing up.

I am in shock to hear about Sandy. I knew her from grade school/high school and we even lived together for 3 months after high school. I re-connected with Sandy 3 years ago and we met for lunch a few times before COVID hit. We shared many funny stories of our brief co-habitation and shared our lives journeys. Sandy was so excited snd proud of her grand babies and loved babysitting them. I’m so sorry Jess and Lindsay and wish you peace knowing she will always be with you.
