

LINTON, Shirley Louise – age 80 of Grand Blanc received her angel wings to take her place in heaven Monday, April 6, 2015 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Per her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 3PM on Friday, April 10, 2015 at Bristolwood Community of Christ Church – 1158 W. Bristol Rd. Flint, MI. Shirley was born October 14, 1934 in Flint, MI to the late Donald and Thressa (Luce) Grove. She was a loving and caring person with a great sense of humor. She was strong, independent, and loved to talk, but was also a great listener anytime you needed her. She could spend hours reading, making weekly trips to the library. She loved flowers and spent hours working in her yard. She loved her church, family, and friends and had no problem letting us know that. She gave of herself as a Genesys Hospital Volunteer helping others in need for many years. Shirley was also a loving and caring pet owner to her dogs Peanut and Pebbles. She was a wonderful, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, aunt, and friend. Our hearts are broken without you. You will be truly missed. Surviving are her children, Rex (Cheri) Bison, Tracy (Bruce) Carlson; grandchildren, Lance Bison, Shane (Hannah) Bison, Tara (Chris) Bowden, Ashley Cronkright, Angela Triplett, and Eric Little; great-grandchildren Aaliyah and Jade Hogan, Jaslyn Newell, Autumn and Trenton Naylor, Josephine (Josie) Bowden, and Blade Bison; brother, Robin (Pam) Luce; sister, Rita (Denny) McCarthy; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, William “Bill” Bison; second husband Clyde Linton; and beloved son Alan Bison.
