Stanley J. Krupa, Jr., Beloved husband, father, and grandfather of Williamston, MI (formerly of Burton, MI) died Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at McLaren Hospital in Lansing, MI. He was 100 years old. Stanley was born October 18, 1921, in Flint, MI, the son of Pelagia (Smolenska) and Stanley Krupa. Stanley graduated from Central High School in Flint, MI. After graduation, Stan traveled to the Upper Peninsula, where he planted trees as a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps at Camp Raco. A WWII veteran, Stanley served the US Army in both North Africa and Europe. After retiring from AC Sparkplug in 1987, Stan stayed active on the golf course, in his tomato patch, and by caring for his granddaughters. Surviving are his daughter, Bronwyn Cobb (Richard Cobb); granddaughters Gillian Niemisto (Sean Niemisto) and Alexis Cobb (Neil DeSouza); brother-in-law, Norman Czap (Helen Krupa); and many cherished nieces and nephews. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, Pelagia and Stanley; wife, Alice; sons, Stanley III (Joe) and Thomas; siblings and siblings’ spouses John Krupa (Marion), Frank Krupa (Catherine), Zigmund Krupa (Patricia), Maximillian Krupa, and Helen Czap; in-laws and in-laws’ spouses Joseph Goodall, Mary Gorton (Wesley), Dorothy Howay-Gratsch (Leon Howay, Bud Gratsch), Gertrude Gilbert (John), Francis Goodall (Correne Goodall-Butts), and Berniece Hovezak (George). A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John Catholic Church (404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423) on Wednesday, August 17, at 12 pm. Visitation will take place one hour prior. A burial service will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
