Mr. Stephen Steve Meredith Halliday

HALLIDAY, Stephen Meredith ‘Steve’ – Age 70, of Flint, passed away Monday, May 16, 2011. Mr. Halliday was born in on December 17, 1940, the son of Joseph and the late Virginia Murphy. Stephen is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharon Lee (Collins) Halliday; Son, James (Cheryl) Hayes; Daughters, Lisa (Mark) Zohoury and Stehanie (James) Doan; Doting grandfather of seven, Paige, Sabrina and Jack Zohoury, Alivia and Marisa Hayes and Meredith and Benjamin Doan; Sister, Sherry Mathews and brothers James Murphy and John (Sharon) Murphy.

Steve proudly served in the United States Air Force for four years. He worked for General Motors, then EDS for a total of 40 years, retiring in 2006. During his retirement, as throughout his life, he enjoyed being an avid Michigan State University fan, golfing and attending numerous events for his grandchildren. He will fondly be remembered as an unconditionally loving, patient, strong in faith and loyal family man.

Friends may visit the family Thursday 3-8 PM at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI 48439. Mr. Halliday will lie in state Friday 10 AM at First Presbyterian Church of Flint until Funeral Service 11 AM. Dr. John Musgrave officiating. Burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Flint.
