BERBERICH, Theodore E. (Ted) – Age 83, of Flint, went to be with his Lord, Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Heritage Manor. Mr. Berberich was born February 9, 1930 in Allen County, Indiana the son of the late Theodore and Edna Berberich. Ted served his country during the Korean War with the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the American Legion. He was a member of Mayfair Bible Church and was Associate Chaplin at the county jail in the 1970’s and 80’s. Mr. Berberich was on the Board of Flint Christian School for many years. Ted retired from General Motors as a Die Setter after 55 ½ years of service. On May 16, 1953 Ted married Macie Davis and she survives him. Also surviving are children, Penny (Dale) Buchko, Janette (Steve) Gilley, Joy (Steve) Cole, Mark Berberich, Christopher Berberich; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Theda Kay Kirby of Arizona; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Berberich was preceded in death by his brother, Elmer Shear and his sisters, Maxine Frisbee and Marceille Clausson. Friends may visit the family from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Mayfair Bible Church, 5339 W. Pierson Rd., Flushing, MI. Pastor Dean Stewart will officiate.
