

MINSHALL, Thomas E. – of Flushing, age 78, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012 at his home. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church, 746 S. Saginaw Street, Flint, Michigan with Dr. John L. Musgrave officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2012 at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan and also at the church from 12 noon Saturday until the time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Music Fund at First Presbyterian Church or to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Minshall was born September 26, 1933 in Highland Park, Michigan, the oldest son of the late Thomas and Evelyn (Obenchain) Minshall. He and Patricia Anne Cameron were united in marriage on June 18, 1955 following his graduation from Alma College. He served 2 years in the U.S. Army. Mr. Minshall was employed by G.M. Parts Division retiring as a financial auditor on August 31, 1991 after 37 ½ years of service. He was an active member of First Presbyterian Church where he had served as a Deacon and an Elder. He was also active in the First Presbyterian Church Chancel Choir, Flint Festival Chorus, and the Carolyn Mawby Chorale. Surviving are: wife, Patricia (Pat) Minshall; 3 sons, Thomas, Michael (Leanne Carlson) and Robert Minshall; 9 grandchildren, Alycia, Joshua, Nicholas, Jacob, Sophie, Marissa, William, Samantha and Robert; sister, Barbara Stackhouse of Magalia, California and nieces and nephews.
