Violet May Barnhart

Violet May Barnhart – Age 88, of Flint, died Thursday, January 28, 2016 at McLaren – Flint. Mrs. Barnhart was born June 10, 1927 in Flint the daughter of Bert and Nina Perkins. Violet was a member of the Carmen Aisworth Senior Center, Zonta, and was a past officer of Insurance Women of Michigan Flint Chapter. Surviving are her children, Alan (Barbara) Barnhart, Cindy (Mark) Sloan, Jeanne (Bill) Kidwell, Carrie (Robert L.) Blamer; grandchildren, Scott Barnhart, Matt Barnhart, Rebecca Sloan, Kyle Miller, Sarah Ring, Annette Matthews, Kevin Blamer, Danielle Litte, Bethany Sloan; 15 great grandchildren. Mrs. Barnhart was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Barnhart and brother, James Perkins. As were her wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI. with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Carmen Ainsworth Senior Center.
