I was so sorry to read about Rick's passing, he was far too young,  I have
many memories of life on Virgil with your folks and you children, my son

My deepest condolence's to Rick's family...I, along with so many, knew Rick from working at the State.  He was a character and truly cared about serving the citizens of the State of Michigan.  I missed him when he retired and now wish him God Speed....

I was very sorry to hear about the passing of Rick.  He worked with my husband Ted Miller in Purchasing.  They were good friends and enjoyed working together.  It is extra sad because all three that worked together in Purchasing have now passed away.  My thoughts and prayers are with all the family.  Be blessed for all the good memories you had together.

I am so, so sorry to hear of Rick's passing. I was shocked to hear of this news.  I worked with Rick at MDOT Purchasing.  Rick was a very nice, sweet and wonderful man,  His office was just couple steps away from mines; we talked often at the time as I helped him with his computer's problems and reports. I also kept in touch with him after his retirement ... He will be greatly missed!  My thoughts and prayers are with his family!

I am so sorry to hear this! Rick worked with my dad at MDOT in purchasing and I worked with him years ago when I was working in Contracts as a student. What a great guy.  He had a great laugh.  He will be missed.

We really miss Rick at the St. Johns Big Boy...he never missed being here every morning.  Sympathies from his Big Boy family.

I am so very sorry to hear of Rick's passing. I worked in the same area as Rick at MDOT.  I shared many good conversations with him.  Rick was a professional man with a whole lot of knowledge to offer.  He wore a cheerful domineer everyday, never wavering.  Very pleasant man he was. This is such sad news.  What an awesome man Rick was.  Extremely knowledgeable and always helpful with purchasing at MDOT.  We had a lot of fun conversations and I missed him when he retired but was happy he was getting to do what he wanted to do in life. I worked with Rick for almost nine years. He is a true professional and all around good guy. We shared our love of deer hunting almost every day.  And I loved hearing him tell me his latest deer or deer hunting adventure.

I am so very sorry to hear of Rick's passing. I worked at the Superior Region Office in Escanaba, and all of us knew we could count on Rick for help when we'd encounter a problem. He was so patient with us and would walk us through step by step. And  he was friendly on a personal level. Never forgot any of our names and life stories. RIP Rick!

I worked with Rick for many years at MDOT. Although I rarely saw him he was absolutely the best when it came to purchasing - he never hesitated to help when asked. He liked to talk about traveling and had a great sense of humor.. I missed our conversations when he retired. I as well as his MDOT family will miss him... rest in peace Rick.
