Alban J Westlund

Alban John (Jack) Westlund Jr., 85, of Grand Junction, CO, passed away at his home on March 28, 2011 following a brief illness. Jack was born June 13, 1925, in La Junta, CO to Alban Westlund Sr. and Allene Augusta Jones Westlund.

Jack attended schools in La Junta, Saguache, and Grand Junction. He and his father farmed for many years on Orchard Mesa. Jack worked as a plumber and pipe fitter by trade until retirement. Many years were spent working at Rocky Flats and Anvil Point. Leisure time activities included roller skating, fishing, and hunting.

Jack married Loleta Murray Fears in Glenwood Springs, CO on August 22, 1960. He had no children but had two stepsons, Don Fears and Lonnie Fears.

Survivors include his wife Loleta, and stepson Lonnie (Joyce) Fears of Grand Junction, CO, sister, Esther Raff of Hotchkiss, CO, two nephews; Joseph Charles Raff and Harold Lee Raff, and two nieces; Esther Dianne Peebles, and Mary Lynn Hensley.
