Alex Christopher Rizor

Born on February 20, 1993, Alex was a man of deep compassion and kindness. He wore his heart on his sleeve and lived with an openness that drew people in. He never hesitated to lend a hand, offer love, or speak with honesty. He had a childlike spirit that drew people in full of curiosity, laughter, and a lightness that made others feel at ease.

Alex found peace in nature and calm beside the water. He loved fishing and cherished the time spent with his line in the lake. But more than anything, he treasured time spent with his family, those moments of connection meant the world to him.

Alex leaves behind a family who loved him deeply, friends who will forever feel the echo of his friendship, and a community that will not be the same without him.

Alex is survived by his two beloved children, Emma Rizor and Blake Rizor; his mother and stepfather, April Smith and PJ Arzapalo; his brother and sister-in-law, Johnathan and Victoria Rizor; his sister and brother-in-law, Sierra and Tyler Seiffert; his grandmother, Linda Coffman; and his uncles and aunts, Gerald and Virginia Coffman, and Duane and Jenna Coffman.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Cheyanne Smith; his grandfather, Donald Pollock; and his grandparents, Annie and William Lambert..

A memorial service for Alex will be held Friday, June 13, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary & Crematory, 2515 Patterson Rd., Grand Junction, Colorado 81505.
