Audrey J. Fariss (formerly Sterner, née Fleming) of Grand Junction, CO, passed away peacefully at the Larchwood Nursing Home on August 27, 2026, at the age of 95. Preceded in death by husband Thomas J. Fariss, parents Louis and Erna Fleming, and brother Louis Jr., all of Saint Paul, Minnesota. Survived by five children: Mark L. Sterner (wife Annie), Becky A. Spradlin, Andrew L. Sterner, Karen McClung, and Lynn Burgoon (husband Bill). Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Attended Saint Columba Grade School and St. Joseph's Academy High School (class of 1948, in St. Paul, Minnesota). During a long and stellar career as a legal assistant, Audrey worked for the U.S. District Court in San Francisco and the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Reno, Nevada. Funeral service is scheduled for September 11th at 1:00 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Grand Junction, CO. An Inurnment ceremony is tentatively scheduled for September 18th, time TBA.
