

Mr. Watson was a restaurant manager.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann; one son, Michael G. of Nashua, New Hampshire; one daughter, Katherine Liberman of Steamboat Springs; one brother, Michael W. of Georgetown, Texas; and one grandchild.

Barry H. Watson
August 23, 1946 - December 12, 2015
Barry H. Watson was born on August 23, 1946, in Houston, TX to Ernest and Jeanne (Marble) Watson. He passed away of a stroke on December 12, 2015, at HopeWest Hospice in Grand Junction. He was 69 years old.
As a child, Barry's dad owned various ranches near Texas towns like Richmond, Cypress, and Booth, where he had cattle and horses. Barry and his brother, Michael W., learned riding and roping skills and always admired the skills of cowboys and their cutting horses. As a teenager he attended San Marcos High School, and later attended Texas A &M.
Forty years of employment included manager - innkeeper with Holiday Inn, store manager, and trainer for cafeteria operations with Furrs Cafeteria and realtor with Brokers Guild in Denver, CO. He was well liked by his employees because he was a naturally friendly person who never met a stranger.
He was a member of Highlands Ranch Community Church and honored the Lord Jesus Christ. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Laredo, TX and Fruita, CO. He was a Shriner with El Jebel Shrine of Denver and Grand Junction.
He was an outstanding father to his children, Katherine Liberman of Steamboat Springs, CO, and Michael Gary of Nashua, NH. His granddaughter, Reese, always captured his heart. Barry and his wife, Jo Ann, shared 44 years of love and laughter.
Some of his favorite things were great music by Bing Crosby and the 1940's big bands; John Wayne movies; his Corgi dogs, and the Denver Broncos and Dallas Cowboys football teams. He also enjoyed fishing and dove hunting.
In the Spring, a memorial for Barry will take place with family and friends in Georgetown, TX.
