Berdeen G. Hotchkiss

Berdeen was born on December 28, 1937, in Palisade, Colorado, to Albert and Hazel (Dugger) Thumser. She spent her childhood in Grand Junction and graduated from Central High School. In 1960, Berdeen married Louis Leon Hotchkiss in Grand Junction. She worked in Lunchroom Services for School District 51. In her free time, she enjoyed crochet, knitting, and reading. However, nothing made her happier than time spent with her family.

Berdeen is survived by her sisters, Verleen Schleisman and Lanette Williams, both of Grand Junction; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Her parents; her husband; two sons; and two brothers precede her in death.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at River of Life Alliance Church, 701 24 ½ Road, Grand Junction, CO 81505. Committal will follow at Grand Junction Memorial Gardens.
