Betty Sue Bray, who friends and family lovingly referred to as Betsue, was born January 6th, 1935, in Fruita, CO, to Orin and Dorothy Brown. She attended school and lived in the grand valley her whole life, where she was a bookkeeper and rural postal carrier.
She married Jack Bray in March 1953, and they had two children together John and Judy. They had many fun times together with friends and family at Trout Lake and Lake Powell.
She loved the time spent with her three granddaughters and two grandsons, as well as nine great grandchildren. She was always the favorite aunt of several nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed the frequent visits from her brother, who lives in Washington State.
In her lifetime several of the people she held closely preceded her in death. She lost her husband and both of her children, her older brother and sister, as well as one grandson.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hope West.
The celebration and remembrance of Betty’s life will be announced at a later date.
