Billy was born on February 10, 1947 in San Angelo, Texas from the union of Billy Rae and Ima Gene Nixon. He graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1965 and married Evelyn Elaine Ennis on December 17, 1965 in Grand Junction.
Billy lived in Dove Creek, Colorado for a time and was a well known Brick Mason and Masonry Contractor. He enjoyed rebuilding antique tractors working on special projects, problem solving and tinkering.
Billy leaves behind his wife of fifty-five years, Elaine Harrison of Whitewater; a son, Ty (Kristi) Harrison of Fruita, Colorado; a daughter, Shauna (Travis) McGee of Grand Junction; four grandchildren, Desarae McGee of Grand Junction, Abbi, Jake, Sophia Harrison, all of Fruita, Colorado; two sisters, Carlyn (Rodger) Quinn and Sherry Pedia, both of Grand Junction, and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ima Gene Edie; and stepfather, Bill Edie.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, December 10, 2021 at Martin Mortuary with a committal service to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
