Brittany D'Ann Sutherland

Brittany D'Ann Sutherland, age 35, of Grand Junction, Colorado passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024.Brittany D IAnn Sutherland of Grand Junction passed away on Thursday January 4, 2024 at the age of 35 after a short but serious illness. She was survived by her parents, Daren Sutherland and Chauntel

Sutherland, brother Justin Sutherland, grandmother Dorothy Sutherland, and grandparents Paul and Davida Lachance.

A lifelong resident of Grand Junction, Brittany graduated from Central High School in 2007 where she was a stand-out cheerleader and member of the nationally ranked Spirit Express. While still in elementary school, Brittany was selected as the Snow Princess for the Grand Junction Christmas parade. After working in the personal care field for several years, she joined the US Navy Reserve as a fire-fighter.

Brittany loved the outdoors and was an avid skier and snowboarder and taught both skiing and snowboarding to children at Powderhorn Ski area for several years. If you saw Brittany, you would also see her faithful companion "Breezey", a certified trained service collie mix - they were inseparable.

Private family services were held at Martin Mortuary.
