I have been so very blessed to have had Grandma Currey in my lie. She loved all her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even her newest addition Gracie her first great-great grandchild. She always made us feel special. There are so many memories that is it is hard to capture them all. Christmas as a child was always so magical at her house. She made us giant rag dolls, and doll clothes and dresses. The road trips to Grand Junction, especially the one in the yellow Toyota 4X4 where us kids’ road in the back of the truck under a tarp all the way from Denver to Grand Junction. Watching The Muppets, Love Boat, and Fantasy Island. She would come on my field trips in elementary school as a helper and all the other kids in my class loved her as much as I did! She loved taking us places, we would go to Casa Bonita, Heritage Square, and to the movies. I remember when we all went with her to see Raiders of the Lost Ark when it first came out. She also shared her faith and love for Jesus with us, by taking us to church with her at Calvary Temple and at Christmas would make a cake for the baby Jesus. As an adult I loved going to lunch with her and enjoying our long talks and visits. She was such a big part of my son Jake’s life and loved the relationship they had together, I am so happy she was able to meet his baby girl this past summer! Grandma we love you and are going to miss you so much!

My grandma Currey was such I big part of my life. I am so very thankful to God for my beautiful grandmother. She was a loving, fun, passionate woman who loved her family deeply. My heart is so full with the memories of my grandma. Christmas Eve was held at her house when I was a child. The warmth and love throughout the household made Christmas magical. Grandma would take us to various fun activities. Sleepovers as children watching the Muppet Show and as teenagers swimming at her pool. Trips to Showbiz Pizza, Casa Bonita, Heritage Square among other fun activities. Spending time with her as an adult having wonderful conversations. Words cannot express the love I have for my grandmother nor the gratitude I feel for the influence she has had on my life! I love you grandma! We will meet again!
Love,
Colleen

I feel like one of the luckiest people to have had Carol Elaine Walton -Currey as my grandma for 45 years. All of my memories from her taking all of us grandkids anytime we wanted to come over. Watching the Muppets , facts of life, The Love Boat and most importantly the Golden girls. She took us everywhere from showbiz pizza to Casa Bonita and Santa’s work shop. Our grandma was generous beyond belief! Grandma was pretty , fun , kind , strong and had a strong faith in god. Grandma put her grandkids over everything. My favorite memory of Grandma was when she would pack up all us kids and take a road trip to Grand Jct. I have so many more things to say but the most important thing is that Grandma is now in Heaven with God and my Grandpa Frank and her Family. I love you Grandma! With All my heart. We will miss you
Love Molly

Grandma, some of my memories…Avon, birthday cake for Jesus, red CRX, swimming at her condo and always spending the night, going to Casa Bonita and Showbiz Pizza, riding in the back of the yellow Toyota pickup all the way to Grand Junction, her beautiful pink ballroom dancing dress, loving, funny, caring, perfect…..
