Catherine Kay Mable Anderson

Kay Anderson moved to her Heavenly Home on June 14, 2016. Kay was born Katherine Mable Wavra on July 28, 1922, in Grand Forks, North Dakota to James Albert and Lois Lyda (Stoughton) Wavra. Kay was united in marriage to William “Bill” Jewell Anderson on July 3, 1941. Bill and Kay had three children, James William, Diana Marie, and Robert John Anderson. Kay and Bill raised their children in Wyoming. They moved to Grand Junction, Colorado in 1982 where they spent the rest of their lives. Kay leaves a son, Robert Anderson of Whitewater, CO; a daughter, Diana (Ted) Burge of Morrison, CO; five grandchildren, Jim (Donna) Anderson, Kris (Mario) Perez, Jeff (Krystal) Anderson, Jim (Diann) Burge, Stacy (John) Wasinger; five great- grandchildren and five great- great grandchildren. Kay was preceded in death by her husband Bill; a son, Jim Anderson; and a brother Jim (Wavra) Carney. A memorial service will be held at Martin Mortuary Monday, June 20, 2016 at 10am, with a graveside service to follow at Memorial Gardens. The family requests in lieu of flowers please make donations to The Retreat at Harbor Cove Assisted Living or Hope West Hospice Care.
