Charles Virgil Rush

Charlie was born on August 26, 1965, in Grand Junction, CO to Gene C Rush and Patricia A Rush. He grew up in the Grand Valley and loved the outdoors. Fishing, hunting, and ranching, were the backdrop of his happiest memories- a true cowboy. 

Charlie was happiest when enjoying nature, sharing stories with others, and spending time surrounded by family. 

Charlie is survived by his two brothers, Bud Rush and Dusty (Sarah) Rush of Grand Junction; and by his five sisters, Rose (Rex)Jump of Niangua, Missouri; Cindy (Tom)Drake of Parachute, Colorado; Cherry (Mike)Hartman of Parachute, Colorado; Penny (Rod)Golden of Delta, Colorado; and Sue (Steve)Wright of Orchard Mesa, Colorado. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia A. Rush; his father, Gene C. Rush; and his nephews, Elijah Jump and Matthew Golden

A celebration of life will be held in October 2026. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those who knew and loved Charlie honor him by spending time outdoors and sharing cherished memories.

Charlie will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
