
Clarice Jean Weiss (Kandelin), 88, of Grand Junction, Colorado, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026, following complications from Alzheimer’s. She was born on August 25, 1937, in Ishpeming, Michigan, to Leonard and Violet (Sundberg) Kandelin.
Clarice graduated from Boulder High School and earned a degree in Education from the University of Colorado. She dedicated many years to serving others as a staff member of the American Cancer Society. A devoted member of the American Lutheran Church, she lived her faith through kindness and quiet strength.
On November 4, 1962, she married Ramon “Bud” Weiss in Boulder, Colorado, beginning a lifetime of love and adventure. Together, they cherished traveling and shared many joyful memories on the road in their RV.
She is survived by her husband, Bud; children John Weiss of Longmont, Paul (Jayne) Weiss of Fort Collins, and Carolyn (John) Holcombe of Fort Collins; grandchildren Emily and Alaina Holcombe, and Ava and Nate Weiss; and sister Beverly Bruce of Grand Junction. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Arlene Schory.
Known for her wonderful spirit, cheerful heart, and caring nature, Clarice touched everyone she met.
