Collbran resident Corky Blair passed away Saturday, November 26, 2011 at the Hospice Care Center in Grand Junction, Colorado, surrounded by his loving family. Corky was born May 16, 1935 from the union of Harold and Elizabeth Blair in Denver, Colorado. Corky was a craftsman by trade, from wood to stone he could create a masterpiece from any media. He was a motorcycle enthusiast completing his collection with his red Buell. Corky raced stock cars and at one point raced at Daytona. He touched many lives in his 76 years, but his true passion was his family. He was a mentor to his seven children and fun loving compassionate partner to his beloved wife of 45 years, Norma. Together, with Norma, their family grew to include seven children, 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Corky leaves them behind to continue his legacy of hard work and compassion. He also is survived by one sister, and three brothers. A celebration of Corky's life will be held on Saturday December 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Martin Mortuary Chapel.
