Dawn came to our house a couple times a year. She spent many holidays with us.
We loved it when she came, there was a sense of calmness. I think it was the laugh that made everyone love her so much.
She was a great friend. She helped set up for the kids birthday parties and would help clean up Christmas wrappings all over the house.
She was just down to do whatever.
I will miss her big heart and tight hugs and my kids will miss their Auntie.
Dawn, never goodbye only see you later.

I only got to see Dawn once or twice a year while visiting my daughter. I always enjoyed spending time with her and catching up. She was very interesting and such a gentle soul. She will be missed.

I’m not even sure how to begin. I’m completely devastated to hear of Dawn’s passing. She was a friend of mine for 15 years and we had such a special bond. I still remember the first time we met working at REI, and remember all the moments we shared since then. In our earlier years we shared an unforgettable hilarious time in Vegas and its a long story but we started calling each other Bird. She became my “Dawn Bird“ and I was her “Birdie.” These nicknames stuck for all these years. Whenever I think of her I can hear her calling me this along with her infectious giggle. Her little chipmunk giggle I would say. She had the best laugh, the kind that made you laugh and smile. She was always fun to be around, always down to do whatever; planned or unplanned. She was easy to be around, no expectations, deeply caring and non judgemental. Always kind and humble. She had a wonderful passion for the outdoors that inspired me. And she was a fighter....a silent warrior.

I am deeply saddened that my kids will not get to grow up knowing her and learning from her as I did. Luckily I have endless stories to share and will continue to hold her infectious smile and laughter near to my heart. She will NEVER be forgotten and I hope she is finally feeling the wind beneath her wings.
Love you Bird Bird

Dawn was an old soul with a good heart. She was not judgmental and was a good listener. She was kind and good. My heart is broken with this sudden news. I know she is at peace and in the arms of our Savior and that gives me comfort. Prayers for her family and loved ones 💔🙏✝️ ❤️

When I think of Dawn, I think of adventure. She was the one going camping, going hiking, skiing, traveling. When she showed up for things, she came with a smiling and a willing heart. Her laugh was contagious. You also always knew if she was in a good place or not. She would open up and talk about what was Troubling her. Her struggles were no different than your or mine and she would get through them. The last time I talked to her she was packing ( the day before) her trip to Colorado. We got a good laugh out of that bc she was moving there and had just started to pack. She was going off to do something she was passionate about and I was happy for her. I will miss her adventurous beautiful soul and her laugh that made everyone laugh with her and talking to her about her travels. I love you forever Lil Dawn.
