

Desarae (Desi) Ann Pauletich was born on November 28, 1948 in Wray, Colorado. She was born to Raymond and Irene Anderson. She was raised on the family ranch/farm. She went to school in Laird, Colorado. She went to beauty school in the late 1960’s, and was a beautician for 40+ years. She loved her clients and made many lifelong friends in her years of being a beautician.
She was married to Robert (Bob) Pauletich in 1972, and they were married for 12 years. They had a son, Robert Pauletich, in 1975. Desarae and Bob were members of the Moose Lodge, The Elks, and the American Legion. They were members of the rat patrol where they did ice racing in the early 1970’s. She and Bob enjoyed boating along with many other activities. They were divorced in 1984. Desi lived in Lakewood, Colorado until moving to Grand Junction in 2005 to be with her son and family.
Desi loved being a grandmother to her two grandchildren. First Josh and then a few years later, Brook. “Grammy” to Josh and Brook, she helped look after them. She did just about anything for her grandkids, as they were her world. She always said they aren’t spoiled they are “well loved”.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Raymond and Irene (Corneulis) Anderson; and one sister, Iris McKinney-Kaylor. She is survived by her only son, Robert (Mandy) Pauletich of Grand Junction, Colorado, and two grandchildren, Joshua and Brook Pauletich, also of Grand Junction; her brother, Claire (Lynn) Anderson of Holyoke, Colorado; her sister, Betty Watkins of Las Vegas, Nevada; two nieces, Myra (Russ) McKinney of Tennessee, and Asia (JoAnn) Nazareno-Cole of Denver, Colorado; three nephews, Evan McKinney of Wray, Colorado, Allen Watkins of Denver, and Raymond Anderson of Holyoke, Colorado; along with many other cousins, family and friends.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
