Devon Cruz Cardera

October 7, 1992 – February 1, 2015

Devon Cruz Cardera passed away February 1, 2015 near Parachute, Colorado , he was 22.

Devon was born on October 7, 1992 in Reno, Nevada from the union of Louis and Cindy Cardera. He spent his childhood in Lander, Wyoming and attended high school at Lander WY and Fruita, CO. As a young boy, Devon was a star athlete with the Lander Little League, clocking a pitch at 84 MPH at the age of twelve. In later years he enjoyed snowboarding with his family and friends and riding his Harley. He was a pump operator in the oil industry.

Devon was a devoted father and soon to be husband and was considered a second father to his nieces and nephews. A man of few words family members will always remember him ending a phone conversation with “K, Love You, Bye, Bye”

Devon leaves behind his fiancé; Samantha Brown, a son; Gavin Cruz Cardera and daughter; Aubrielle Shaustin Brown all of Clifton, CO, his parents; Louis (Misty) Cardera – Lander, WY and Cindy Krebs (Robert) Revoir Grand Junction, CO, two brothers; Brandon Cardera of Fruita, CO and Eric Garcia of Clifton, CO, eight sisters; Hannah Cardera-Garcia of Clifton, CO, Monica Cardera, Jasmin Pereda, Taylor Pereda all of Lander, WY, Jordan Revoir, Mikayla Revoir, Payton Revoir all of Grand Junction, CO and Jessica Cardera, Fruita, CO, grandparents; Bobbi Woods and Louie Cardera both of Reno, NV, nieces and nephews; Naveya and Maudie Garcia, Alexa, Evan and Ryliegh Cardera and Blake Darbe.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Joyce Romero, Lee Krebs and Lee Woods and cousins; Isaac Krebs and Lindsey Ford.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Martin Mortuary
