Diana Lynn McCowen
July 20, 1952 - April 11, 2015
For the 42 years that I was with Di, she brought me nothing but joy. When we met at Chico State I fell in love with her beautiful smile and her piercing blue eyes.
Diana was a beautiful person with a big heart. She touched the lives of everyone she knew. She embraced life every day.
Diana's passion was teaching and it showed because she was awarded Teacher of the Year at Loma Elementary School. Her students were her ""Kids"" and were a part of her heart. Diana retired from Loma Elementary School after 29 years.
Diana loved to hike and her love for it began as a young girl in Ethiopia, Africa. As she grew in years and maturity, her love for hiking grew. Diana had a love for nature. She was captivated by birds; especially her quail family. One in particular captured her heart. It was an albino quail and she named it Pearl. Diana never met a spider she didn't like.
Diana was born in San Diego, California on July 20th, 1952, to Jack and Wilma Myers. She was a friend to all and will be greatly missed.
