Donald John Mundy

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Private burial will follow at Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Raedelle; three sons, Darin of Tucson, Ariz., Daniel of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and David of Grand Junction; one daughter, Tracy Mundy of Grand Junction; one sister, Jean Giles of Los Angeles; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Don Mundy passed away suddenly on January 10, 2014 in Mesa, Arizona at the age of 79.

Don was born to Edward Burrell and Loraine (Solomon) Mundy on November 26, 1934 in Los Angeles, California. Don and his brother and two sisters were raised in Southern California.

In 1962 Don married Raedelle Hussey and they were blessed with four children. The family made their home in Southern California and later moved to Grand Junction Colorado.

Although he was schooled as a Dental Technician he never lost his love of farming and the outdoors. He made his living and a name for himself in the Grand Valley as the ""grass man"". He will be missed by many.

Don was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings. He is survived by his wife, Raedelle; four children, Tracy Mundy of Grand Junction, Colorado; Darin Mundy (Donna) of Tucson, Arizona; David Mundy of Grand Junction, Colorado; Daniel Mundy (Cinnamon) of San Jose del Cabo, Mexico; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and one sister, Jean Giles of Los Angeles, California.

A memorial service in his honor will be held at 1:00 on January 17, 2014 at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
