

Don Solomon, age 82, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2025, in Grand Junction, Colorado. Born on February 4, 1943, in Nashville, Tennessee, Don was the son of Huston and Mildred Solomon and brother of Judy Solomon. A proud graduate of South High School in Knoxville, Tennessee, Don served his country with distinction in the United States Air Force, stationed in Colorado Springs. His time in the military shaped his character and provided him with experiences that would resonate throughout his life. Don’s family was always his cornerstone. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ann Solomon; his sons, Greg Solomon of Maryland and Bryan Solomon of Florida; his stepchildren, Lamar McPherson, Scott Baugher, Tina McGinley, Rhonda Harrison, and. Nikki Jones; along with 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy. Don had a lifelong love for tinkering with cars, though his sons didn’t inherit the mechanic’s touch, they did inherit his strong work ethic and determination. He took great pride in the simple pleasures of life: spending time with his family, sharing stories, and savoring a good cup of coffee. His warmth, generosity, and the quiet strength of his presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on Friday, June 27, 2025, in Daytona. Beach, Florida. Those who knew Don are invited to join in remembering a man whose love for his family and zest for life left an indelible mark on all who crossed his path.
