

Donna Lee Klaus October 23, 1930 – August 11, 2012 Donna Lee Klaus passed away Saturday, August 11, 2012, at the Hospice Care Center. She was born October 23, 1930, to Carl and Essie Bruce Pearson in Santa Anna, California. As a child she moved to Denver graduating from North Denver High School. On July 1, 1951, she married the love of her life, Gerald Klaus, in Denver, Colorado. They lived in Denver until 2003, when they moved to Grand Junction. While in Denver Donna worked as an office manager at various accounting firms and volunteered her time for 25 years as a "Pink Lady" at St. Anthony's Hospital North. She was also a member of the Lion's Club. After moving to Grand Junction she and Gerald became members of American Lutheran Church. She also enjoyed painting and golfing in her spare time. Although Donna battled with cancer and Alzheimer's in her last years she was always loving and cheerful, still eager to share a story or a smile. She leaves behind her husband, Gerald of Grand Junction; son, David (Celia) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; two granddaughters, Patty Klaus and Jenny Crysler of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and one great-grandson, Tim Klaus of Portland, Oregon. A visitation will take place Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at Martin Mortuary from 5 - 7:00 p.m. A Celebration of Donna's life will be held Thursday, August 16, 2012, at American Lutheran Church 631 26 1/2 Road at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place Friday, August 17, 2012, at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
