Dorothy Mable Gregory

February 25, 1916 - December 29, 2014

Dorothy Gregory, 98, of Grand Junction passed away Monday, December 29, 2014.

Dorothy was born February 25, 1916, to Chris and Gladys Decker in Delta, Colorado. She was the oldest of seven children.

She attended school in Reed and Delta.

She married Joseph Dobbin on January 16, 1940. They had two daughters, JoAnn Frost of Grand Junction and Marjorie Hood of Fruita. Joe died in 1967. She married Jack Gregory on June 5, 1969. He died in 1999. Dorothy then moved to Fruita, where she lived for eight years before moving to her daughter's home in Grand Junction. She had been a resident of Eagle Ridge Nursing Home for three months at the time of her death.

Dorothy is survived by one brother, both daughters and their husbands, five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren. She also has two stepchildren, Doug and Katharine Gregory, and seven step-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, five siblings, one granddaughter, and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, Friday, January 2, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. in Grand Junction. Intermenat Delta City Cemetery will follow.
