Elbie spent his childhood in Colorado. He married Marjory V. Weimer on December 16, 1950, in Delta, CO. He has been a resident of Grand Junction for the last 40 years. His previous places of residence were in Utah and Nevada.
He was a truck driver, heavy equipment operator, and miner. He was a member of the Eagles and attended Monument View Bible Church. Horses, Mammoth Jacks, hunting, and fishing were his interests.
Elbie is survived by his wife, Marjory of Grand Junction; sons, Richard (Carla) Boothe of Fruita, Michael (Marsha) Boothe of Pahrump, NV, and Dennis (Darcy) Boothe of Las Vegas, NV; daughters, Rhonda (Wayland) Ingram of Grand Junction, and Sharon (Charles) Ross of Whitewater, CO; brother, Larry Boothe of Grand Junction; sisters, Marian Smith of Reno, NV, and Judy Peterson of Grand Junction; 15 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Pearl; brothers, Jack Boothe, Gary Earl Boothe, and Orville Boothe; sisters, Maxine Ochoa, Barbara Hurley, and Lela Bradley; and Baby Boothe.
Visitation will be Monday, December 9, from 5 to 7PM at Callahan Edfast Mortuary. Services will be held Tuesday, December 10, at 11AM at Callahan Edfast Mortuary. Burial will follow at OM Cemetery.
