Ella Mae (Hoover) Fry of Grand Junction, CO, died August 8, 2017.
Graveside services will take place at Ainsworth, Nebraska, Cemetery. No visitation will take place.
Ella May was born near Long Pine, NE in a two story house and was delivered by her father, Herbert Hoover on March 13, 1916! She was the fifth of six children born to Herbert and Catherine Hoover.
Ella Mae was a graduate of Kearney State Teacher’s College in Kearney, NE. She graduated as a teacher.
Ella Mae married her high-school sweetheart, Neil Fry, in Ainsworth, NE. They had two children, Clarence “Chuck” in 1939 and Sharon in 1942. Ella Mae and Neil were married for 68 years until Neil’s death in 2004.
Ella Mae lived most of her life in Nebraska next to her daughter, Sharon. In 2006, at the age of 90 years old, she moved to be next to her son, Chuck, in Grand Junction, CO.
Ella Mae is survived by her son, Chuck, of Grand Junction, CO; her daughter, Sharon, of Columbus, NE; and many, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
